Ripon Triathlon Festival
Ripon Triathlon Festival takes place 10th to 11th July 2027 at Ripon Racecourse in Yorkshire. The weekend features a mix of junior and adult multisport races alongside spectator activities and event merchandise.
Saturday is dedicated to junior racing for athletes aged 8 to 18 years. As part of the Yorkshire Junior Series, the festival hosts a junior open-water triathlon held in the onsite lake, described as the only junior open-water triathlon in the North of England.
Sunday offers adult races on fully marked, traffic-managed courses through local scenery. Events include:
- Sprint Triathlon, 750m swim, 23.4km bike, 4.4km run
- Olympic Triathlon, 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Aquabike
- Team Relay
The venue sits on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales. Athletes begin with an open-water swim in the onsite lake, cycle on rolling Yorkshire roads, and finish with a run along Ripon waterways.
Camping is available inside Ripon Racecourse for tents, campervans and caravans; electric hook-ups are not available. Glamping options provide pre-prepared accommodation. Brownlee Fitness provides a Squad Membership offering personalised training plans, coach feedback and community training groups. Volunteer roles are available for event support.
