Ripon Triathlon Festival
Ripon Triathlon Festival takes place 10th–11th July 2027 at Ripon Racecourse in Yorkshire. The event uses the racecourse venue at the edge of the Yorkshire Dales and includes open-water and road sections.
Athletes start with an open-water swim in the onsite lake, continue on rolling Yorkshire roads for the bike section, and finish with a run along the Ripon waterways. The weekend programme separates junior and some adult sprint events on Saturday from the full adult race day on Sunday.
Saturday features the Sprint triathlon, aquabike, relays, open water swims and junior races for athletes aged 8–15 as part of the Yorkshire Junior Series; it is listed as the only junior open-water triathlon in the North of England. Sunday includes adult events such as the Olympic triathlon, aquabike and team relay.
Olympic triathlon distances:
- 1500 m swim
- 40 km bike
- 10 km run
The festival format includes on-site camping within Ripon Racecourse with no electric hook-up, plus glamping options. Official event merchandise is available. Training support is offered through a partnership with Brownlee Fitness, and volunteering roles are organised for registration, transition support, course marshalling and finish area duties.
