The Running Room - Val Nolasco Half Marathon takes place on November 9, 2025, at Kapiolani Regional Park on Kalākaua Ave in Honolulu, HI. It is the fourth and final race of the 2025 Marathon Readiness Series. The event offers the following distances:
- Half Marathon
- 5K
Packet pickup is scheduled at Running Room (Kapahulu) on:
- Friday, November 7, 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm
- Saturday, November 8, 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Parking is available around the park where no parking restrictions are posted.
Course, awards, and fees
The half marathon course starts near the park bandstand, runs briefly toward Waikiki, turns onto Monsarrat and Paki, goes up and over Diamond Head, follows Diamond Head Road past Triangle Park, proceeds on 18th Ave and Kilauea to Kalanianaole Highway out to Wailupe Circle, then returns via Kealaolu and Kahala Ave to finish at the Honolulu Marathon finish line.
Improvements for this year include upgraded custom tech shirts for the first 500 entrants, custom 15K medals for the event, and additional porta potties at the start. Awards are given to the top 3 male and female overall finishers in both distances; age group prizes are awarded as specified for each race. All finishers receive a medal.
