Utah Valley Marathon
The Utah Valley Marathon is a multi-distance road race weekend held in early June in Provo, Utah. The event includes a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, and a free Kids 1K fun run. A fitness expo takes place in Provo the day before the races.
The marathon course runs through Provo Canyon along the Provo River and passes forests, lakes, and waterfalls. The full marathon has a net elevation drop of about 1,400 feet. Both the marathon and the half marathon are USATF certified, and the marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifying course. The half marathon finishes in downtown Provo and follows the final half of the full marathon route. On-course support, finish-line festivities, and event swag are provided for participants.
The event raises money for several Utah charities and offers charity entry options. Race weekend information includes maps, results, records, awards, and a mileage club. The half marathon is noted to sell out quickly in past years.
