Medal Madness 5K & 13.1M : event overview
The Medal Madness 5K & 13.1M takes place on March 21, 2026, at Halyburton Park in Wilmington, NC 28412. The event includes two race distances:
- 5K
- Half Marathon (13.1M)
All runners must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Parking and the starting line are located near Halyburton Park. The event is organized by US Road Running.
Course and logistics
The 5K uses a 0.78 mile segment that forms an out-and-back of 1.56 miles; the 5K completes that out-and-back two times. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09 mile segment that forms an out-and-back of 2.18 miles; the half marathon completes that out-and-back six times. The course time limit is 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race and ends 10 minutes before the race starts. The event lists finisher medals, a shirt and gear shop, a best costume category, series points, and awards.
