Event Overview
The US Road Running event in North Raleigh takes place at Green Hills County Park. This athletic gathering features a timed competition on a concrete surface, with the course designed as an out-and-back route. The event is part of the US Road Running Race Series, allowing participants to earn points for their performance.
Registration is required through the designated online platform, as there is no registration available on the day of the event. Participants can find parking near the playground on the north side of the park, where restroom facilities are also located. The park gate opens one hour before the official start.
Race Distances
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K: This distance requires runners to complete the out-and-back course two times.
- 10K: This distance requires runners to complete the out-and-back course four times.
Both the 5K and 10K have a total time limit of two hours.
Participant Information
All finishers receive a themed medal upon completing their respective distance. While not mandatory, the organizer encourages participants to wear costumes. A group photo is taken before the start, and an award is presented for the best costume at the beginning of the race.
