Event Overview
The Medal Madness 5K &10K takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. The event features two race distances on a concrete, out-and-back course.
Course and Distances
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K: Runners complete the out-and-back loop two times.
- 10K: Runners complete the out-and-back loop four times.
The course has a time limit of 2 hours for both distances. A map of the route is available online.
Event Details
All finishers receive a themed medal. The event encourages, but does not require, participants to wear costumes, with a best costume award presented before the race. Participation earns points for the US Road Running Race Series.
Registration is required online in advance; there is no on-site registration. Packet pickup begins 30 minutes before the race start. Parking is available at the playground on the north side of the park, where bathrooms are also located. The park gate opens at 8:00 AM.
