Event overview
The Medal Madness 5K and 10K takes place on June 13, 2026, at Green Hills County Park in Raleigh, NC (9300 Deponie Dr, 27614). The event includes a 5K and a 10K distance. All participants must register on RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. The race earns points toward the US Road Running Race Series.
Course and logistics
The course is concrete and laid out as an out-and-back route. The 5K completes the route two times and the 10K completes it four times. Both distances have a overall time limit of 2 hours. Packet pickup is available before the race and ends shortly before the race begins. Parking is located at the playground on the north side of the park, and bathrooms are located by the playground.
All finishers receive a themed finisher medal. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes; a group photo is taken at the start of each race and a best costume award is given at that time.
