Medal Madness at Medal of Honor Park
The US Road Running event in Mobile, Alabama, features a series of road races held at Medal of Honor Park. This athletic gathering offers three distinct distances for participants to choose from:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
The courses are designed as out-and-back loops. For the 5K and 10K distances, participants follow a 0.78-mile course, resulting in a 1.56-mile out-and-back loop. Runners completing the 5K finish this loop twice, while 10K runners complete it four times. The Half Marathon utilizes a 1.09-mile course, creating a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop. Half marathon participants must complete this circuit six times to reach the total distance.
All participants are subject to a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration. Packet pickup is conducted at the event location starting 30 minutes before the activity begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start. All finishers receive a medal for their participation, and the event includes a best costume award for those who choose to participate in themed attire.
