Rocket Fun Run - Mobile
The Rocket Fun Run is a community athletic event held in Mobile, Alabama, supported by ASICS. The event features two non-competitive distances starting and ending at a local store on Airport Blvd. Participants travel along a route that includes an ascent of McGregor Hill.
Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 1.6 mile walk to the Dauphin Street roundabout and back.
- 3.6 mile run to Old Shell Road and back.
The event includes a shoe demo where attendees can test specific models, including the Novablast 6 and GT-2000 v15, on a first-come, first-served basis. Because the activity takes place in the evening near sunset, the use of personal illumination is recommended for safety, although the course features street lights.
Additional activities integrated into the event include a costume contest where participants dress in rocket or space-themed outfits. A raffle drawing is held for those present, with tickets earned based on store purchases made during the evening.
