Event Overview
The US Road Running event in Mobile, Alabama, features a multi-distance road race occurring on a paved out-and-back course. Participants can choose between three distinct distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- Half Marathon
All participants must complete their registration through the online system prior to the event, as there is no registration available at the race site. Packet pickup is conducted on the morning of the event, beginning 30 minutes before the official start and concluding 10 minutes prior to the race.
Course Information
The races utilize a repeating out-and-back layout. For the 5K and 10K events, the course is based on a 0.78-mile segment, totaling 1.56 miles for a full out-and-back loop. Runners in the 5K complete this loop twice, while 10K runners complete it four times. The Half Marathon uses a 1.09-mile segment, creating a 2.18-mile out-and-back loop that participants complete six times.
A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes is enforced for all distances. Finishers in all categories receive a commemorative medal. Additionally, the event encourages participant interaction through a best costume competition, and runners can earn points toward the US Road Running series.
