11th Annual Caryn's Kids 5K and Fun Run
The Caryn's Kids 5K and Fun Run returns to Mobile, Alabama, for its 11th year. The event takes place at The Grounds, a venue located at 1035 Cody Road N. This community event serves as a fundraiser for a scholarship fund established to support the higher education costs of former students of a local kindergarten teacher.
Participants can choose from multiple ways to participate in the event:
- 5K Run: A full distance race covering approximately 3.1 miles.
- 1 Mile Fun Run: A shorter course designed for all ages.
- Spirit Supporter: A non-competing registration option for those who wish to support the cause and receive an event t-shirt.
The race course is hosted on the property of The Grounds. Participants who register by April 1, 2026, are guaranteed to receive an event t-shirt. Race packets are distributed on-site on the morning of the event. On-site registration is also available for those who do not register by mail or online in advance.
Post-race activities include an awards ceremony and several social features. Attendees have access to a DJ, children’s activities, and provided food and beverages. Awards are presented to the top three male and female finishers in several age categories for the 5K, ranging from ages 0-9 up to 70 and older. Recognition is also given to the top male and female in the 1 Mile Fun Run and the group with the highest participation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
