Medal Madness 5K, 10K, and 13.1M at Concord, NC
The event is held at the Dogwood Shelter, 760 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027. Courses run on a mostly paved route with a stretch of gravel and dirt. The venue offers on-site restrooms located in the right corner of the parking lot upon entry. The route is shaded.
Distances offered:
- 5K: out-and-back, one lap (about 3.11 miles)
- 10K: out-and-back, two laps (about 6.22 miles)
- 13.1M: out-and-back, four laps (3.28-mile lap)
Registration is handled through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Entry fees listed for each distance are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the 13.1M. The entry price increases on the Monday before the event.
The half marathon and other distances use repeated out-and-back laps as stated above. A course time limit is set at 3 hours and 30 minutes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
