Medal Madness 5K, 10K & 13.1M - Concord, NC
This event offers three road races held at the Dogwood Shelter in Concord, NC (760 Orphanage Rd, 28027). Distances included are:
- 5K: out-and-back, one loop.
- 10K: out-and-back, two loops.
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles): out-and-back, four loops.
Registration is handled through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. Fees listed for the event are $30 for the 5K, $45 for the 10K, and $65 for the half marathon. Registration closes the day before the race and a price increase occurs on the Monday before the race.
The course surface is primarily paved with a short stretch of gravel or dirt and is described as shaded. Packet pickup opens 30 minutes before the race and closes 10 minutes before the race start. Restroom facilities are located in the right corner of the parking lot on arrival. A course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes applies.
Maps and specific route turns are provided by the organizer; the 5K and 10K follow the same loop repeated as noted, and the half marathon repeats its out-and-back loop four times. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
