New Year 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon - Concord, NC
This running event takes place at the Dogwood Shelter, 760 Orphanage Rd, Concord, NC 28027. The course surface is mostly paved with a stretch of gravel and dirt, and the route is shaded. Restroom facilities are located in the right corner of the parking lot on arrival.
Distances offered:
- 5K out-and-back route, one 3.11M out-and-back
- 10K out-and-back route, two 3.11M out-and-backs
- Half Marathon (13.1 Miles) out-and-back route, four 3.28M out-and-backs
Registration is required online through RunSignup; there is no on-site registration. A price increase occurs on the Monday before the race. Event entry fees listed by the organizer are $30.00 for the 5K, $45.00 for the 10K, and $65.00 for the Half Marathon.
Participants should note the event enforces a course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. The course layout is out-and-back for each distance, which results in repeated laps on the same route for the 10K and Half Marathon. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
