Event Overview
The Luau 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon is a road running event held in Williamsburg, Virginia. The race activities take place at Lois Hornsby Middle School, where participants use the designated parking lot and follow the sidewalk to the bus loop area for the start of the event. All participants must complete their registration online in advance as there is no registration available at the venue on the day of the race.
Distance Options
Participants can choose from three distinct distances:
- 5K: A single out-and-back lap totaling 3.11 miles.
- 10K: Two repetitions of the out-and-back course.
- Half Marathon: Four repetitions of a 3.28-mile out-and-back loop.
Course Details
The courses are designed as out-and-back routes. The 5K and 10K participants utilize a 1.56-mile leg, while the Half Marathon utilizes a 1.64-mile leg. All events are subject to a cumulative course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes.
Participant Information
Packet pickup is available at the race location starting 30 minutes before the event begins and concludes 10 minutes prior to the start. All finishers receive a medal upon completion of their respective distances. The event also features a best costume competition and participants can earn points toward a larger race series.
