Luau 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon at Athens
The Luau 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon is a organized running event taking place at the North Oconee River Greenway Trailhead in Athens, Georgia. This event is part of the US Road Running Race Series and offers participants the opportunity to earn series points. All participants who complete their respective distances receive a themed finisher medal.
The event features three distinct distances on out-and-back courses:
- 5K: A 3.11-mile out-and-back course completed once.
- 10K: The 3.11-mile out-and-back course completed twice.
- Half Marathon: A 3.28-mile out-and-back course completed four times.
The event has a total course time limit of 3 hours and 30 minutes. Packet pickup is available on-site shortly before the start of the event. Registration must be completed in advance through the designated online platform, as there is no option for on-site registration.
While not a requirement for participation, the organizer encourages runners to wear costumes. Parking is available in a lot located near the starting point at North Oconee Access Road.
