Event Details
The Miles for Smiles 5K takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026. The event is held at Wire Park in Watkinsville, Georgia, with the address 111 S. Barnett Shoals Road.
The Cause
The run is sponsored by the Chick Fil A Leader Academy of Westminster Christian Academy in partnership with the Fresh Wind Recovery Ministry. The goal is to raise funds to support the ministry's program costs and its need for more housing and bedding. The ministry helps people overcome substance abuse.
The Course and Features
The 5K course starts and finishes at Wire Park and runs through the adjacent Morgan Manor neighborhood. A course map is available via the organizer. The event is a member of the Black Bag Race Series. Timing and finish line management are provided by Classic Race Services.
Registration and Awards
Registration is $30.00 (plus a signup fee) and ends on April 22, 2026. T-shirts are available for registrations received by April 10; after this date, shirts are not guaranteed, and a "no shirt" registration option offers a $5.00 discount.
