The Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K takes place in Richfield, Minnesota on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The event offers both in-person and virtual options for the Half Marathon and the 5K. The start and finish area is located about 100 feet south of the Richfield Band Shell on the parking lot service road.
Logistics and registration
Packet pickup for in-person participants is available the day before the race, Friday 8:00 am–6:00 pm, and on race day beginning at 5:45 am at the Richfield Band Shell (next to the Arena at 636 E 66th St). Packet pickup for in-person entries includes bib, timing chip, and the finisher shirt when included in registration. Virtual registrations include domestic US shipping for shirts and finisher medals. Race results for the in-person events are posted by MTEC Results.
Fees, shirts and facilities
Event fees vary by distance and entry type. Registrations made after July 8 do not include a runner shirt. Leftover shirts may be sold after the race at the finish area for $15, subject to availability. Lockers are available inside the arena; they are unsupervised and runners may bring their own padlock.
Organization and purpose
The event is presented by Wood Lake Nature Center. One hundred percent of proceeds benefit environmental education.
