Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K
The Urban Wildland event in Richfield, Minnesota includes a half marathon and a 5K that benefit Wood Lake Nature Center's environmental education program in partnership with Richfield Public Schools. The event is based at Veterans Park and uses nearby parks and natural areas.
Both courses are circular and wind through shaded residential neighborhoods, neighborhood parks, and natural areas including Wood Lake Nature Center. The half marathon course is USATF certified. Chip timing is provided by MTEC Results and official results are posted after the race.

Packet pickup is available the day before the race between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and on race day beginning at 5:45 a.m. Pickup is at the Richfield Band Shell (636 E 66th St), next to the Ice Arena in Veterans Park. A friend may pick up materials on a runner's behalf.
Registration is open online until race start. The price increases over the season. Registrations after the first week of July do not include a runner shirt; entries made by the end of July 8 include a t-shirt. Extra shirts may be sold after the race if available.
Runners receive a wooden finisher medal on a leather lanyard; this year's medal is shaped like a turtle. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
