About the race
Orienteering Taranaki, a club based in New Plymouth that runs regular events, is organising an urban rogaine series held across several park locations. Each event in the series is a 90 minute rogaine for teams or individuals. Teams are typically two to four people and individuals may also compete.
Competitors use the MapRun app on a phone to collect controls; paper maps are also provided. The series visits these locations on the listed Sundays: Pukekura Park (18 Oct), Kawaroa Park (1 Nov), Waitara Marine Park (8 Nov) and Fitzroy Holiday Park (15 Nov). Divisions offered include foot, family, bike and ebike. Entry is available via EnterO or as cash on the day.
