Upton VFW Run to Remember 5K
The 17th Annual Run to Remember is a certified road event hosted by the Upton VFW Post. The course is USATF certified (course ID MA18301JK, effective August 4, 2023) and is offered as a mostly flat, family-friendly route on 100% paved roads. The event honors Active, Reserve, Guard members and veterans; participants are encouraged to wear the name of a veteran they wish to honor and the Post can provide names if needed.

Walkers and joggers with strollers are welcome and must start behind runners. Pets are not permitted. A Kids Fun Run for children ages 10 and under is held after the main 5K at the baseball field behind the VFW; registration for the kids run is available on site prior to that event and the entry fee is $7. Every child in the Kids Fun Run receives a medal, t-shirt, and goody bag.
Registration fees include an early registration rate of $30, reduced rates of $25 for ages 6–15 and ages 80–100, and a day-of-race fee of $35. To be guaranteed a t-shirt, registration must be completed by Saturday, September 19th. Race packets include bibs and ordered t-shirts and are available for pickup the day before the event and on race morning.
Awards are given for overall and age-group placings, veterans, and special categories for teacher, firefighter, and police officer. Water and toilets are available at check-in, water is provided at the course halfway point, and refreshments are provided at the finish. A playlist has been prepared to accompany runners and walkers.
