Upstate Strut for Childhood Cancer Race

The Upstate Strut for Childhood Cancer Race is a community sports event held at the Milliken Arboretum in Spartanburg, South Carolina. The event takes place on a course centered at 920 Milliken Road and aims to support children in the Upstate region who are battling cancer. All proceeds from the race are directed to Children's Cancer Partners of the Carolinas.

Participants can choose between two distinct distances:

  • 5K Run
  • 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

The event accommodates various types of participants, including runners, joggers, and those using family strollers. The 5K and 1 Mile routes take participants through the natural landscape of the Milliken Arboretum. For those interested in group participation, the registration process allows individuals to join or create teams.

Prizes are awarded to the top three male and female finishers overall. Additionally, awards are given to the top male and female finishers within specific age categories. These categories include ages 0-16, 17-34, 35-54, 55-69, and 70+. Participants who register early are eligible to receive a race shirt, with t-shirts limited to the first 200 registrants.
