Event
The Santa Fun Run/Walk is a 5K community run/walk held in December at Leroy Mathis Park in Inman, South Carolina (50 Bishop St, Inman, SC 29349). The listed price is $0; instead of a monetary fee, registration requires each registered runner to bring one new, unwrapped toy. All donated toys will go to the Upstate Family Resource Center for distribution to families in the community. A course map is provided by the organizers.
Logistics and awards
Online registration remains open through race day, and race-day registration is available via personal phones only. Packet pickup is scheduled the morning of the event and closes before the race. Carolina Headware offers an optional race shirt for purchase; they are providing the age-group awards and are donating profits to the Spartanburg County Foundation Emergency Management Fund (02296). Santa will be present for photos. Awards are given to the top overall male and female and to top finishers in the following age groups for both male and female: 0-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.
