Up & Over Trail Run Weekend - Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico
Up & Over Trail Run Weekend takes place the first weekend of August 2026 in Taos Ski Valley. The program includes multiple trail events on high alpine terrain with timed competition and age-category prizes.

Saturday features the 20th annual Up & Over 10K, an out-and-back course that climbs about 2,612 feet from 9,321 feet to 11,819 feet and then descends through alpine terrain. The new 20K is a double-loop course with roughly 4,700 feet of vertical gain and a 3 hour 15 minute time limit; entry requires a verifiable half marathon time of 2:30 or faster.
Sunday hosts the VerticAL's VertK, a vertical 1K up Al's Run with about 1,497 feet of gain; this event is open to participants 16 years and older. The Up & Dn Kid's 1K is an untimed out-and-back for children 10 and under, with a finisher's medal and prizes for overall boy and girl winners; half of its proceeds benefit the Enchanted Circles Trail Association.
Race services include a custom event tee, a runner backpack used as a bib bag, a commemorative finisher item, on-course hydration and post-race recovery support, professional timing, age-category prizes, and lodging discounts.
