UnWINEd at Bishop Estate Vineyard & Winery
UnWINEd is an untimed vineyard run and walk held at Bishop Estate Vineyard & Winery in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. The main event is a 3.1 mile vineyard course that runs mostly on grass and is described as not designed for fast running. Participants are asked to be attentive to footing and surroundings because the surface includes grass and natural deviations.
A short youth vineyard run is also offered for children; the event materials list this distance as 440 yards. Packet pick-up occurs on the day of the event. Pre-race announcements and a beneficiary introduction take place before the runs, followed by the national anthem.
After crossing the finish line participants receive a finisher's medal and onsite activities include complimentary wine tasting for participants over 21, grape juice tasting, free snow cones for children, music, food trucks, and lawn games. The event lists a registration fee for the 5k and a separate fee for the kids run. Dogs are not permitted at this event.
The event beneficiary is the Hilltown Township Volunteer Fire Company and the materials state that 100 percent of donations generated at the event go to that organization. The organizer also offers a referral program to recover registration fees and a multi family discount when three or more runners register together for the same event, excluding the kids run.
