University of Okoboji Homecoming Races
The University of Okoboji Homecoming Races is a weekend of multi-discipline and road running events held in the Iowa Great Lakes area around West Lake Okoboji. The event began in 1978 and is traditionally held on the third Saturday in July. In 2024 the races drew over 1,200 athletes from 27 states and three countries.
The race program includes an individual triathlon and a team triathlon, plus separate running races on trails and roads. The triathlon takes place in and around West Lake Okoboji with a transition area at the top of Preservation Plaza in Arnolds Park. Shuttle buses run between Arnolds Park Amusement Park and the running start locations.

- Half marathon
- 10K
- 5K
Prize structure and awards are provided for overall top finishers and age categories. Cash prizes are listed for overall male and female winners in the triathlon, the half marathon, and the 10K. Top three finishers in each age category receive a custom medal. Route maps and frequently asked questions are published for participant reference.
