IOLBC 5K Fun Run
The IOLBC 5K Fun Run is a community running event held at the Okoboji site on August 1, 2026 during the camp's Quilt Auction weekend. The event raises scholarship funds to help campers attend camp who otherwise might not be able to afford it.
The 5K course follows paved paths through neighborhood streets near lakefront cabins, crosses state land, runs along the lakefront, and loops around the camp property. The event includes refreshments and a T-shirt for the $25 registration fee. To be guaranteed a T-shirt, registration should be completed by July 20.
Prizes are awarded to the top male and top female finishers. Walkers are welcome to participate in the 5K. A separate kids .5K run is held for children at no cost.
