Event overview
The Unity in Motion 5k Race takes place on May 9, 2026, at West Palmer Lake Park, 7100 Palmer Lake Dr. W., Brooklyn Center, MN 55430. This is the event's second annual edition. The program includes multiple race events, a post-race Unity Village area with children's activities, live music, and food, and a fundraising focus whose proceeds support CAPI's work with Minnesota's immigrant and refugee population.

Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in the 5K and 10k for men, women, and children under 16. All youth participants in the CAPI-bara Crawl receive a participation medal. The course uses trails within Palmer Lake Park and is open to both running and walking.
