Unity in Motion 5K Race
The Unity in Motion 5K Race is scheduled for May 9, 2026 at West Palmer Lake Park in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota. The event combines in-person and virtual options and is presented with a community and fundraising focus.

The weekend program includes a CAPI-bara Crawl, a short field race for children aged 2 to 10; all youth participants receive a themed participation award. A Unity Village at the event features a children's race and activities, live music, and food.
Awards and recognition are planned for the top three finishers in the 5K and 10k races for men, women, and children under 16. Youth in the CAPI-bara Crawl receive participation medals. Proceeds from the event will support CAPI's work providing services to Minnesota's immigrant and refugee population. Participants can create individual fundraising pages to collect donations.
Registration is offered in an early bird phase that opens November 24 and a standard phase that begins April 1. Published ticket prices before platform fees list early bird 5K at $35 and 10k at $40, with higher standard prices of $50 and $55 respectively; the CAPI-bara Crawl has separate pricing. A race T-shirt is included with 5K and 10k registrations completed before race day, with guaranteed sizing available through April 1.
