Unity 5K at Woodland Lake Park

The Unity 5K is a trail event organized by the White Mountain Community Center at Woodland Lake Park in Lakeside, Arizona. The course is an approximately 3.1 miles continuous clockwise loop through the park’s natural trail system and does not use the paved loop around the lake. The route passes through the Woodland, Meadowlark, Hitching Post, and Turkey Track trail areas and returns to the start and finish near Ramada #5 and the Woodland Lake boat-dock area. Participants gather at Ramada #5 for pre-race instructions.

The course is natural-surface singletrack through a ponderosa pine forest. Trail conditions include dirt and uneven surfaces, exposed roots and rocks, occasional loose soil, gentle elevation changes, narrow sections, and possible wildlife and changing weather. Directional signs, course markers, and volunteers are placed at key trail junctions. The event welcomes runners and walkers moving at a safe, comfortable pace. After the race, refreshments such as hot dogs and cold water are available at Ramada #5. Registration opens April 2, 2026, closes August 21, 2026, and the registration fee is $25.00.
