Event Details
The Unicorn 5k in Thornton takes place at Carpenter Park Fields near the intersection of 108th Avenue and Colorado Boulevard. The event offers two distances for participants. The main event is a 5k run/walk. Participants in this distance receive a finisher medal and an event t-shirt.
A second, shorter event is a 1/2 (ish) Mile Saunter, which is described as an untimed 3/4 mile run. This shorter distance does not include a finisher medal.
Additional Features
A balloon artist will be present, creating balloon creations. The event has a charity partnership with Food for Hope, which supports children in Adams County schools. Participants are encouraged to bring food donations for a chance to win a raffle prize.
The event also partners with Sneakers4Funds, accepting donations of new or gently used athletic shoes to benefit another charity.
