Unicorn 5k (South) is scheduled for Saturday, August 1, 2026, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The event takes place at Highlands Heritage Regional Park, 9651 S Quebec St, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130. The event offers a 5k run/walk and a shorter untimed saunter.

All participants receive a gender-specific event shirt, one free cotton candy, free photo downloads, free balloon animals/designs, and free face painting. 5k participants also receive a finisher's medal and a chip-timed finish. Costumes are encouraged. A balloon artist will provide balloon creations on site. Registration pricing is listed on the event page and includes specified service fees; prices increase after December 31, 2025.
Charity and donations
The event lists Backpack Society as its charity partner. Bringing five or more in-kind items on race day enters a donor into the race-day raffle; winners are drawn during the run and posted at the registration tent.
