Unicorn 5k (South) - Highlands Ranch
The Unicorn 5k (South) is scheduled for August 1, 2026, at Highlands Heritage Regional Park, 9651 S Quebec St, Highlands Ranch, CO 80130. The event offers a chip-timed 5k with a finisher medal and an untimed shorter route for a gentler effort.
Participants receive gender-specific event shirts, one free cotton candy, free photo downloads, free balloon animals or designs, and free face painting. Costumes are encouraged and a balloon artist will provide balloon creations on site.

The event partners with Backpack Society as its charity partner and runs a donation drive. Bringing five or more in-kind items to the collection on race day enters a participant in the race day raffle. The event also accepts gently used or new athletic shoe donations through a Sneakers4Funds partnership; donated shoes support a separate charity partner.
Registration incentives mentioned include referrals that can return up to $20 of registration fees and a $5 registration discount per person for teams of five or more in the 5k.
