Underground Railroad 5k
The 33rd Annual Underground Railroad 5k is scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Princeton, Illinois. The event is centered at the Bureau County Metro Center, 837 Park Ave. West, Princeton, IL 61356. The course is certified IL25042NM and begins and ends at the Bureau County Metro Center.

Registration opens March 19, 2026. Entry fees for the main 5k are $25 through August 6 and $30 after August 7. A corporate team entry option is listed at $300 for up to 20 participants. T shirts are guaranteed for pre-registered participants; shirts are available to registrants on race day while supplies last.
Awards are presented for overall male and female finishers, top Princeton male and female, and the top three finishers in male and female age divisions. Age divisions listed include 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, and five-year increments from 20-24 through 70 and over.
