The 33rd Annual Underground Railroad 5k will take place on Saturday, September 12, 2026, in Princeton, Illinois. The event features a certified 5k course (certificate IL25042NM). It starts and finishes at the Bureau County Metro Center at 837 Park Ave West.

Fees and Registration

Registration for the 5k opens on March 19, 2026. The entry fee is $25 until August 6, and $30 from August 7 onward. A corporate team registration is available for $300, covering up to 20 participants. A t-shirt is guaranteed for all pre-registered participants, with day-of registrants receiving one while supplies last.

Awards

The event is part of the Starved Rock Runners Club Circuit. Awards will be presented to the overall male and female winners, the top Princeton male and female finishers, and the top three male and female participants in numerous age divisions from 9 & Under to 70+.
