Event overview

Lori's Walleye Run is a 5K road race held on Saturday, March 21, 2026, in Spring Valley, Illinois. The event starts and finishes in the parking lot of Hall High School, 800 W. Erie Street, Spring Valley, IL 61362. The race is chip timed and results are posted on the Starved Rock Runners website.

Course and logistics

The course is an out-and-back on paved city streets with traffic control at most intersections. The terrain is mostly flat with a series of gentle rolling hills. The course is a certified distance. There will be no awards ceremony at the race; awards can be collected after results are determined or they will be mailed.

Entry, shirt, and awards

Early bird registration is $25 if completed by January 1, 2026; the fee is $30 on or before March 15, and $35 through and including race day. A long sleeve race T-shirt is offered; shirts are guaranteed only to those who pre-register on or before March 1, 2026.

Awards are given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age bracket, to the overall male and female finishers, and to the top male and female finisher from Spring Valley. Age divisions (male and female) are: 9 & under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over.
