Umstead 100 Mile Endurance Run
The Umstead 100 is a long-distance endurance run held in William B. Umstead State Park in Raleigh, North Carolina. The main event covers 100 miles on trails within the park. A 50 mile option is also offered. Runners in the 100 mile event are given a 30 hour time limit to complete the distance.
The event is organized annually; the 2027 edition is the 32nd running and is scheduled for April 3 to 4, 2027. Registration opens September 16, 2026 at 8pm, with additional registration details to be posted. The race program includes standard event information such as course maps, a race schedule, accommodations listings for hotels and cabins or tents, and resources on training and participant health.
Support for the event includes a large volunteer complement; the 2026 race reported 361 volunteers. The event also administers memorial awards targeted to active-duty Armed Forces applicants, with application deadlines announced in advance.
