The 9th Annual UMEI Lightning Bolt is a community running event on October 4, 2025 at Point Pelee National Park, Point Pelee Drive, Municipality of Leamington, ON, Canada. One lap of the mapped course equals 5k; 10k participants complete two laps. Registration options include a family rate for two adults and up to three children for the Family 5k Lightning Run/Walk. Children registered under a family entry can receive a 50 percent discount for kids' dash or kids' 1k using the provided family code. Registration benefits note free entry into Point Pelee, a Lightning Bolt race shirt for early registrants, chip timing, post-race refreshments including Mennonite sausage, a swag bag, awards for top finishers in the 5k and 10k (1st, 2nd, 3rd male and female), kids medals, and multiple door prizes.
