Southern Footprints takes place at Point Pelee National Park in Leamington, Ontario, on April 26, 2026. The event features road and trail running within the national park and includes distances for adults plus activities for children.
Distances and events offered
- 5K walk or run
- 10K run, two loops
- 15K run, three loops
- Kids 1K dash and mascot race
The course uses a 5K loop and combines paved sections with natural trails. Park entry is included with registration. Parking is limited and the drive from the park gate to the visitor centre is about 15 minutes.
Rules and logistics noted by the organizer include a prohibition on dogs and strollers for safety reasons. 15K participants must be able to finish within two hours. There will be no same-day race registration. Proceeds are directed to Crime Stoppers and Erie Shores Health Foundation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
