About the race
Ultra Trail du Mont Gosford is a trail running event held in the Zec Louise Gosford area in Woburn and around Chartierville. The event is sanctioned by the Fédération d'athlétisme du Québec and is a member of the International Trail Running Association. The course uses natural, mostly wild trails along the Canada–United States border and visits several named summits, including Mont Salmon, Mont d'Urban, Montagne de Marbre, Mont Saddle, Mont Gosford and Petit Gosford. The 2027 edition will be the third edition and introduces a new race format.
A flagship ultra includes 4278 m of positive elevation and is offered either solo or as a team of three, with each teammate running an established section of about 27 km. Most races start at the Zec Louise Gosford while the 50 km and the long ultra start from Chartierville; shuttle buses transport runners to Chartierville before the race. Bib pickup is scheduled at locations in Piopolis, Chartierville and at the Zec. The event carries ITRA points and mountain points as listed below.
