About the race
Ultra Five-0 is a trail running event held in the Hunua Ranges on the Hunua Traverse Trail near Clevedon, Auckland, New Zealand. The course is described as 100% runnable and combines gravel roads, single-track trails and chip-seal roads. The event scheduled for Saturday 5 December 2026 offers multiple formats:
- Solo 50 km
- Solo 25 km
- Team relay 50 km
Entry requirements and fees vary by event. Minimum ages are 18 for the solo 50 km and 16 for the solo 25 km and team relay. Early entry fees apply until September 30; standard fees apply afterwards. Online entries close on Thursday 3 December at midnight. Late entries are accepted at registration for an additional $20 and must be paid by cash or online banking.
Entry fee inclusions list a finishers medal, race number, timing chip, medical support, and aid stations with toilets, water, PURE electrolyte hydration and food. Entries are non-refundable, may be transferred, and cannot be deferred for more than 12 months. Bus tickets to the start lines and event t-shirts are available for purchase during entry. The event is organised jointly by Trail Events NZ and First Tier Sports Productions and operated by ULTRA FIVE-0 Limited in Clevedon, Auckland.
