Ultimate Zelie Challenge
The Ultimate Zelie Challenge at Zelienople Community Park on August 23, 2026, offers two separate obstacle events for kids and adults at the same venue: a ninja-style obstacle course and an obstacle course race.
The Ultimate Zelie Challenge is a ninja-warrior-type course made up of 10 challenge events. It is organized into age groups for children and adults including ages 4-5, 6-7, 8-9, 10-11, 12-14, and 15 and up.
The Zelie Obstacle Course Race follows a 1.2–1.5 mile loop through the park and includes 10 obstacles. Examples of obstacles are monkey bars, tire flips, carry and pulling challenges, balance and agility elements, and jumping. Participants may race a single loop for fastest time or complete as many loops as possible within one hour. Each obstacle must be completed; failure to complete an obstacle results in a running, burpee, or push-up penalty.
Registration fees are listed as $25 for early registration and $35 for race-day registration. Registered participants receive a t-shirt, a goodie bag or lunch box, Jenny Lee Cinnamon Swirl bread, food and snacks, and age-group awards. The Ultimate Zelie Champion award goes to the top three male and top three female entries earning the most points. Awards must be picked up on race day and cannot be mailed. Live results will be available online throughout the event. Race registration refunds are not available.
A related Ultimate Zelie Challenge Camp runs August 10–14, 2026. The five-day camp for ages 5 to 14 includes obstacle courses, strength training, outdoor activities, hiking, running, swimming, and mud run challenges. Camp registration includes entry into the August 23 event and the camp fee is $250. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
