Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run
The Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run is scheduled for August 1, 2026 at Omao Track on Kauaʻi. It is presented as a community event that raises funds for the Keala Foundation to provide free fitness and wellness programs for keiki. The event emphasizes providing role models, healthy outlets, and supportive spaces to address substance use and related community harms.
Race registration materials are distributed before race day with multiple packet pick-up options at Keala Southside Fitness Center, Piʻikoi Youth Center, and the Kahili Camp Facility. Morning-of pickup is available when needed. GORUCK participants must fill and weigh rucks as required by the event, with weight specifications of 30 lbs for males / 20 lbs for females.
On race day there are separate routes with staggered starts, a safety briefing, on-site check-in, and vendor options including Keala merchandise and food for purchase. Parking at the Omao Track is free. There is no gear check; many racers leave belongings with family or in their vehicle.
Trail Run Week includes group gym classes at Southside and Kekaha locations, a silent auction running through August 3, community meetings, a golf tournament, a kids showcase at Kahili Camp Facility, and a Luau following the race. The Luau is included with race registration and is free for children; advance reservations are required for attendance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
