Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run
The Ultimate Hawaiian Trail Run is the 13th annual event held on August 1, 2026 at the Omao Track in Kauai, Hawaii. The event combines trail running, rucking, and walking and includes a GORUCK start and a group start for other racers. Race day features registration, a safety briefing, and wayfinding signs directing participants to the Omao Track off Kaumualii Highway.
The event raises funds for free Keala Foundation fitness and wellness programs for keiki. Funds support role models, healthy outlets, and community spaces intended to help keep youth on a positive path and away from drugs and alcohol. Organizers describe the event as a community response to substance use and related harms affecting the islands.
Parking at the venue is free and carpooling is encouraged. Participants are advised to bring water and race day hydration, a trash bag for muddy clothes, extra clothes to change into after the race, and a friend or family member to accompany them.
