Aloha Series
The Aloha Series is a four-day running event held in Kapa’a on the island of Kaua’i, Hawaii. Participants can choose to run one or several days during the series. The event offers a variety of distances each day on paved paths that do not cross any roads. The courses utilize a lap-based format with a centralized aid station that runners pass multiple times throughout their race.
The event features two different locations over the four days. On the first and fourth days, the course follows a paved path through a tropical garden at Smith Family Garden, where a marathon consists of 16 laps. On the second and third days, the event moves three miles away to Kapaa Beach Park, where participants run on a paved path along the ocean with a marathon consisting of 12 laps.
An extensive aid station is provided every 2.2 miles, offering a variety of food and drinks including fruit, sandwiches, water, Gatorade, and coffee. First aid-certified personnel are present at all races. While pets are not permitted, strollers for small children are allowed on the course.
Available distances include:
- 50K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
There is no time limit for the Marathon, Half Marathon, or 5K distances, and walkers are welcome. The 50K distance has a time limit of 8 hours and 30 minutes. All finishers receive a medal for each day completed, with a special medal awarded to those who finish all four days of the series. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
