Ulster Project Delaware was founded in 1976 to build understanding between Northern Irish Catholic and Protestant teenagers. Each July the project brings a group of teenagers aged 14 to 16 to the Wilmington area. The group is balanced by religion and by gender. During the four week visit the teens live with host teenagers and their families and take part in team building, social, sightseeing, spiritual and service activities intended to help them form friendships and mutual understanding.
