Uloha Kailua Half Marathon
The Uloha Kailua event includes a half marathon and a 5K that run through the Kailua and Lanikai neighborhoods. The half marathon course covers 13.1 miles and passes through Lanikai, Kalaheo, and Mokapu. The current course includes a loop around Mokapu and Kaneohe Bay Drive, with potential minor rerouting under consideration.
Organizers note that a last minute change in 2025 reversed the race direction and swapped start and finish areas, which created problems at the start. Organizers worked with the other event and the city to resolve those issues for the current year. The start area, late registration, and packet pickup are on the northeast side of the park behind Kalapawai Market. That area will have additional porta potties and lighting compared with prior years.
New or confirmed features for this edition include upgraded fully custom tech shirts for the first 500 entrants, custom medals, and more porta potties. Packet pickup is scheduled at ULOHA in town on Friday, October 2, 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, October 3, 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
Awards include overall top three male and female finishers in both races, age group prizes for specified age brackets in the half marathon and 5K, and a finisher medal for every runner. Parking is available at free lots throughout Kailua Beach Park and on nearby streets where permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
