UK5K presented by Kroger Simple Truth
The UK5K presented by Kroger Simple Truth is a chip timed 5K run and walk in Lexington, Kentucky. The course begins outside Kroger Field at Gate 12 and finishes on the field inside the stadium. Runners pass several University of Kentucky athletic venues including Kroger Field, the football training facilities, Kentucky Proud Park, the Bell Soccer Complex, and the Tim Couch Practice Fields.

The event includes a Jr. Wildcat Club 100 yard dash for children 6 and under, run across Kroger Field; parents may accompany a young runner if needed. The 5K offers overall prizes from Kroger for the top three finishers. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt and a finishers medal that is a replica of Kroger Field. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. The course has tight turns, ramps, and uneven terrain that may not be suitable for a wheelchair.
Registration opens March 14, 2026. Registration for the 5K closes April 22, 2026; registration for the kids 100 yard dash closes April 25, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are $35.00 for the adult 5K, $30.00 for the youth 5K, and $15.00 for the Jr. Wildcat 100 yard dash.
