Ugly Sweater Run 5K in Sisters
The event is the fifth annual Ugly Sweater 5K run or walk held in Sisters, Oregon. It includes a chip-timed 5K and a separate kids dash for young children. The finish area and post-race party are held at The Barn, where there is an ugly sweater parade and contest, holiday music, and food and drink available for purchase.
Distances:
- 5K run or walk
- 100 yards kids dash for ages 3 to 10
Registration is online and includes items distributed to participants such as an ugly Christmas sweater medal, holiday glasses, jingle bells for shoes, candy canes, and custom race bibs. The first 350 participants receive a Christmas beanie. A hot chocolate and coffee station is available at the start line, and a complementary beverage (beer, seltzer, or non-alcoholic option) is offered at The Barn. The event is chip-timed and features a meet-and-greet with Santa on a red Vespa.
The kids dash is free but requires registration, is limited to ages 3–10, and will run in two age waves; parents may run with children if needed. Teams of six or more receive a registration discount that is refunded once the team size is reached. Dogs on leash are allowed and may dress in sweaters.
A portion of proceeds benefits Living Well With Dementia and the Outlaws Downhill Ski Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
