About the race
The UC Irvine Anti-Cancer Challenge is a community fundraising event that raises awareness and funds for cancer research at the UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center and CHOC, part of Rady Children’s Health. Participant-raised dollars fund pilot studies and early phase clinical trials; projects funded are announced the following year.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Oct 10, 2026 on the UC Irvine campus. It is not a timed race and is presented as a community fundraiser. Event day includes a family friendly festival with food, live music and other activities.

- 5K Run/Walk
- 14-Mile Ride
- 35-Mile Ride
- 60-Mile Ride
- 100-Mile Ride
- Mountain Bike Ride
Registration carries a fundraising commitment by category and a deadline to meet those goals. Fundraising commitments due by Oct 31, 2026 are: Child/Student $25, Adult $50, and Adult VIP $500, with the Adult VIP level including VIP Lounge access. The UC Irvine Anti-Cancer Challenge operates as an activity of the University of California, Irvine Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
