Tywarnhayle 10K 2026
The Tywarnhayle 10 km is a trail race organised by Truro Running Club on Sunday 4 October 2026. The route starts from Mount Hawke cricket club and follows coastal footpaths around Chapel Porth before returning toward Porthtowan and completing a loop around Tywarnhayle mine. The course uses public footpaths and includes technical descents, muddy sections, and a short river section.
The event is part of Cornwall's Multi-Terrain Race Series and holds a UKA permit with licence ID ARC/26/0754. Entry is limited to 230 runners. Minimum age for the adult race is 15 years. Entry fees listed for the event are £16 for affiliated runners and £18 for unaffiliated runners. The organisers will donate £1 per runner to the National Trust for use of their land.
A separate children’s event, the Twarnhayle24, takes place after the adult race; participants up to 15 years old run for 24 minutes on laps of the start field. Each child participant receives a medal and a treat. A full runners briefing is distributed by email in the week before the race and event updates are provided on the event Facebook group.
