Tysons Rotary 5K Turkey Trot
The Tysons Rotary 5K Turkey Trot raises funds for local charities in the Tysons area and Northern Virginia. The Tysons Rotary Club has operated since 1983 and focuses on assisting children, older adults, and people in crisis. The club has also participated in international water and sanitation projects and contributed to Rotary International’s polio eradication efforts.
The event offers these distances:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration fees through November 14 are $45 for the 5K and $30 for the 1 Mile Fun Run; on race day fees increase to $50 and $35 respectively. To be guaranteed an official event T-shirt, registration must be completed by November 1; shirts may be available on race day while supplies last.
Packet pick up is available Saturday, November 14 from 12:00 to 3:00 pm at PR Run & Walk Vienna, 111 Maple Ave, Vienna, VA 22180, and on race day starting at 7:00 am at Tysons Central Park, 1775 Tysons Blvd, Tysons, VA 22182.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three male and top three female overall finishers (1st $200, 2nd $100, 3rd $50), gift cards for the top three finishers age 12 and under, and a random drawing awarding three frozen turkeys. Free parking is available via a garage entered from Westpark Drive; limited off-street parking is available from Galleria Drive.
