TyRUNnosaurus Run
The TyRUNnosaurus Run is the seventh annual fundraising event for the Museum of Natural History Foundation held in Albuquerque on September 27, 2026. The event is based at the New Mexico Museum of Natural History & Science and uses Tiguex Park as the start and finish area.
Events on the program cover multiple short and family distances:
- 100 yards Inflatable Costume Mad Dash
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1K Kids K
- 1 mile Kids race and 1 mile Family Walk
The course is described as flat and fast and passes through Albuquerque’s Sawmill District and Old Town. There is one fluid replacement station on the course. All registered participants receive a t-shirt, a participant medal, and entry into the Natural History Museum. Overall and age-group awards are given for the 5K; timing chips or bibs worn on the front are required for posted times and award eligibility.
Race services include packet pickup with late registration options, posted results near the finish and online, a Lost & Found on race day, and medical staff positioned along the course. Strollers and baby joggers are permitted but must start at the back and not impede other participants. Some devices and wheeled equipment are prohibited on the course. Parking is available at the Explora Museum and the Albuquerque Museum; certain streets and park areas are restricted from parking. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
