Two Hearted Trail Run : overview
The Two Hearted Trail Run on June 20, 2026 in Paradise, Michigan offers three distances:
- 50K
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Registration is online only; the deadline is June 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Registrants who sign up by May 20 are guaranteed a race shirt. Participant limits are 100 for the 50K, 100 for the marathon, and 200 for the half marathon. There are no refunds. Time limits are 8.5 hours for the 50K, 6.5 hours for the marathon, and 4 hours for the half marathon. All races finish at the Upper Tahquamenon Falls. Camp 33 Brew Pub is approximately 200 meters from the finish.
Course, aid and logistics
The courses are approximately 80% single track and 20% dirt forest road or two track. The 50K and marathon routes include sections of Lake Superior coastline on high bluffs, shoreline forests, the mouth of the Two Hearted River with a cabled foot bridge, the southern shore of Culhane Lake, the Little Two Hearted River, and the Giant Pines Trail with 300-400 year old white pines. The half marathon is a loop that passes old growth white pine forest and the ridge on the southern shore of Clark Lake.
Aid stations are placed about 5-7 miles apart and are vehicle accessible. Runners must carry a 20 oz water bottle or functional hydration system. Volunteers provide cold water, an electrolyte drink, and energy gels at aid stations. Bus transportation to the start is provided for 50K and marathon entrants, and gear bags are transported back to the finish. Dogs are allowed in the start/finish area but not on the course. Awards include Mass Farms maple syrup for top three in each age group and a custom finisher medallion for all finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
