Event overview

The Tahquamenon Falls to Falls Trail Run takes place on September 19, 2026 in Paradise, MI. The event is a 9 Mile trail run that starts and finishes near the trailhead just east of the Tahquamenon Brewery. The field is limited to 100 participants. Michigan recreation passes are required to enter the park. Yooper Running Company will host and provide timing for the event. All finishers receive a medal.

Course and aid stations

The course runs from the Upper Tahquamenon Falls to the Lower Tahquamenon Falls and back. The route follows a connector trail to a nature trail, enters the NCT trail, crosses a pedestrian bridge, completes a counter-clockwise loop around the outer island trail, then returns over the pedestrian bridge and back to the upper falls. One aid station is located at the pedestrian bridge just before the 4 mile mark; it can be used twice. The aid station provides water, Gatorade, and a range of snacks including fruit, bars, cheese sticks, jerky, and other packaged items. Finish-line food and drinks are provided.

Logistics, awards and safety

Early packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Tahquamenon Brewery pavilion and there is additional pickup near the start area on race morning. Registration prices range from $50 up to $80, with an optional $15 t-shirt. Awards include overall male and female, master and grand master, plus age-group first-place awards; some awards include a gift card to Tahquamenon Brewery. The course is described as technical with significant elevation changes and seasonal slipperiness. Running with dogs or strollers is not allowed. Participants must carry a cellular device. Runners who do not reach the aid station (pedestrian bridge) within 90 minutes will not be allowed to finish and will need shuttle or pickup arrangements from the lower falls.
