Tahquamenon Falls to Falls Trail Run
The event is a 9 mile trail run between Upper Tahquamenon Falls and Lower Tahquamenon Falls, starting and finishing near the trailhead just east of Tahquamenon Brewery in Paradise, MI. The course follows a connector trail to a nature trail, joins the NCT trail, crosses the pedestrian bridge, completes a counter-clockwise loop around the outer island, then returns over the pedestrian bridge and back toward the upper falls.
The event is limited to 100 participants and is hosted and timed by Yooper Running Company. Registration fees are tiered by date and there is an optional T‑shirt for an additional fee. There is no waiting list once sold out and refunds are not available; event insurance is available with registration. The 2026 edition sold out in August.
One aid station is located at the pedestrian bridge just before the four mile mark; it will be stocked with water, Gatorade, snacks and other items. All finishers receive a medal. Overall and age group awards are given, including gift cards to Tahquamenon Brewery for certain winners.
The course is described as technical with notable elevation changes and seasonal slipperiness. Dogs and strollers are not permitted. Participants are required to carry a cellular device for emergency contact. Michigan Recreation passes are required to enter the park and may be purchased with vehicle registration or as day passes at the park entrance.
