The Twin Cities Twilight Relays take place on July 17, 2026, at Thomas Beach on Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis. This is the second annual edition of the event. The race is a 4-person team relay in which each team member runs an identical approximately 3.25-mile full loop of Bde Maka Ska, for a total of 13 miles per team. All runners start and finish at a Relay Festival at Thomas Beach. The festival area includes team tents, a DJ, a food truck, and an Athletic Brewing nonalcoholic beer garden. The event is timed and offers awards for the top team in multiple categories.
Registration and fundraising
Teams are created by a Captain, who names the team, may set a team password, and pays the full team's registration price at registration. The listed registration charge for creating a team is $160, with a total of $177.97 including taxes and fees. Joining an existing team requires the team name and any team password; joining is listed as free but participants are asked to reimburse their Captain. Early registration is currently closed and is planned to re-open around the winter solstice in mid-to-late December; access codes may be available in special cases. The event lists the Minneapolis Parks Foundation as a fundraising partner; $107.35 has been raised toward a $1,000 goal (11% raised).
