Event details

The Twin Cities Twilight Relays is the 2nd annual 4-person team relay held at Thomas Beach on Bde Maka Ska in Minneapolis, MN on July 17, 2026. Each team member runs an identical approximately 3.25-mile full loop of Bde Maka Ska, for 13 miles total per team. The event is timed and includes awards for top teams in multiple categories. A Relay Festival at Thomas Beach accompanies the race and includes team tents, a DJ, a food truck, and an Athletic Brewing NA Beer Garden.

Registration and fundraising

Teams are created by a Captain, who names the team, may set a team password, and pays the full team registration price at creation. The posted team registration total is $177.97 (registration fee listed as $160 plus taxes and fees). Individuals may join an existing team at no registration cost; participants are expected to reimburse their Captain for their share of the team fee. The event lists a fundraising partnership with the Minneapolis Parks Foundation; the fundraiser shows $134.83 raised toward a $1,000 goal (13% raised).
