About the race
The Twilight Triathlon (Race 2) is part of the Spinifex Sheds Multisport Series and takes place at Champion Lakes Regatta Centre in Champion Lakes, WA, Australia. The event is scheduled for a late afternoon start so competitors complete swim and cycle stages as the sun sets, with the run finishing in the dark. The programme includes multiple race formats and age categories.
Distances and minimum ages:
- Olympic: 1500 m swim, 38.5 km cycle, 9.3 km run (min age 15)
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 19 km cycle, 4.7 km run (min age 14)
- Enticer: 300 m swim, 12.9 km cycle, 3.12 km run (min age 12)
- Mini: 200 m swim, 6.4 km cycle, 1.56 km run (min age 10)
- Junior Medium: 100 m swim, 1.5 km cycle, 1 km run (min age 7)
- Junior Short: 50 m swim, 500 m cycle, 500 m run (min age 5)
- Olympic Aquabike: 1500 m swim, 38.5 km cycle
Adult participants will be timed. Medals will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female in Olympic, sprint, enticer and mini categories; finisher medals are provided for Junior Short and Junior Medium participants. The series continues to an Aquathlon in April where series placegetters are crowned. The event notes on-site features such as glow sticks, a DJ and a finisher medal, and lists Spinifex Sheds as a sponsor. Late registration fees apply for entries after 11:59pm on 8 November 2026.
